Community Services Office
The Community Services Office would like to welcome you to Waiouru. Our office is located at the Community Centre, opposite the Four Square Super Market. Our role is to assist you with settling in and living in Waiouru, as well as co-ordinating community events. We encourage you to come in for a chat, find out what we’re about, have a coffee and/or ask any questions you might have. The offices have a wealth of information and if we can’t answer your question, we will find someone who can.
Waiouru has a lot to offer, and we appreciate that moving to a new town can be challenging for some - so we are here to help you adjust and enjoy the benefits of this unique, exciting community. Owing to the Army posting cycle, ours is a transient community, so there are always new groups and activities starting up in Waiouru. Keep an eye on the community notice board and our Facebook page for the latest events. Being committed to making Waiouru an even better place to be, we welcome suggestions you may have to improve our community, and we can assist if you wish to start up a club, group, business etc.
This office also provides a number of services that you will find in this resource. These include photocopying, laminating, the organisation of school holiday programmes, social events and family activities.
Welcome to Waiouru Camp Booklet - This book outlines what Waiouru has to offer you and your family. Keep it handy for easy reference for facilities, clubs and services in your local area. Email the DCF for a copy of the booklet.
